Jonathan Lee Hunt, a cherished soul, was called home to the Lord on April 23, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on November 3, 1953, in the rolling hills of Kentucky, Jonathan's life was a testament to the grace and love he so freely shared with all who knew him. He passed away from the comfort of his residence, after a valiant battle with leukemia.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Tim Willis officiating.
Jonathan was the beloved son of the late Herbert Hoover Hunt and Fay Louise McKinney Hunt.
Jonathan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Hunt, who stood by him as a pillar of support and love. A brother, Michael Hunt (Audry), stepmother, also named Mary Hunt.
Blessed with a heart for service, Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Graceville, Florida. His education was not just a path to knowledge but a journey to deepen his commitment to serving others. For a decade, he volunteered as a chaplain at the Southeast Medical Center, where he offered solace and spiritual guidance to those in need. He also served as a chaplain at the Graceville, FL Correctional Facility and three other correctional facilities in Florida during his career.
Jonathan's journey on earth has ended, but his spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of those who loved him.
