Mr. Cecil Burl Lane, Jr. of Dothan, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. He was 82.
Born January 4, 1937 in Ashford, Alabama to the late Cecil Burl Lane, Sr. and Dorothy Windsor Lane, Burl was a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the Alabama National Guard and owned and operated Lane Trucking until his retirement. He was a member of the Green Valley Club and enjoyed painting, fishing, and traveling across the country in his RV.
Burl is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Burl Lane, Sr. and Dorothy Windsor Lane.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Lane, his children, Greg Lane (Holly), Allison Moore (Rob), and Clint Davis (Kanetha); several grandchildren; a great-grandson; numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, June 3, 2019 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. The family will be accepting flowers.
