Dorothy (McCallister) Womack

Dorothy McCallister Womack, 96 of Ashford, AL. passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. She was born on February 28, 1923 in Houston County to the late James Curtis McCallister and Mae McCallister (Cobb).

Funeral Service 2 PM, Friday, June 28, 2019 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pastor Greg Aman officiating.

Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother who enjoyed sewing, painting, cooking, and working in her flower gardens. She loved going fishing with her beloved husband, Abner Jackson Womack. Shopping and listening to country music were hobbies she enjoyed.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Abner Jackson Womack, and son-in-law: David Johnson.

Survivors include her children: Abner Womack (Sandy), Jimmy Womack (Anne), Glenda Brunson (Larry), and Mary Johnson; grandchildren: Jill Womack,  Amy Dodson (Jim), David Brunson (Kelli), Shannon Womack (Cindy), Jonathan Womack (Nicole), Sharon Vickers, Craig Johnson (Jennifer), and Corey Johnson (Meg), and twelve great-grandchildren.
