Helen (Benefield) Collins

Mrs. Helen Benefield Collins passed away December 1, 2017 in Sebring, FL where she lived with her sister, Jean Hall. She was 87.              

Helen was born in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Roy Benefield and Verna Sellers Benefield. She and her husband, Ray Collins lived and worked in Dothan most of their adult life. She worked as a secretary, first for Pest-X Exterminating and then Regions Bank. Prior to her retirement, Helen and Ray jointly owned and operated H & R Pest Control. Helen was very active in the BPW, Ladies of the Elks, and other various organizations.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray and a brother, Jimmy Benefield.

Helen is survived by her sister, Jean Hall; her sister-in-law, Linda Benefield; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2017 from Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama with Reverend Joseph Johnson and Reverend Dee Koza officiating.

The family will be accepting flowers.
