Mrs. Isophine Green Woodham, age 98, of Dothan, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019.
Isophine was born October 10, 1921 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Walter F. Green and Vera Allen Green. She was a graduate of Dothan High School and was employed by S H Kress in Dothan and Seattle, Washington. She was a room mother for many years during her children’s elementary school years. Later she became a loan officer at Fedapostal Federal Credit Union which became Wiregrass Credit Union. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed putting on her sun hat and tending her many beautiful flowers.
In addition to her parents, Isophine was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Foy Woodham; her sister, Helen Thomly Varnum; and her granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Gourley.
Survivors include her daughters, Jerri Woodham Gourley and husband Brent and Mona Woodham Spitler and husband Mike; and a son, Ronald Foy Woodham; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Gourley, Blake Spitler and wife, Britt, Amanda Spitler Tew and husband Daniel, Scott Woodham and wife Jessica, and Ronnie Woodham; her great-grandchildren, Watson Tew, Molly Tew, Layton Spitler, Slade Woodham, Hunter Woodham, and Maci Woodham; her special caregivers, Flecia Turner, Angel Smith, Mona Kelley, Shawna Wesley, Kim Wells, Gayvon Braswell, and Lillie Dell Wheat; numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Kyle Gatlin officiating.
