Mr. James Earl Perry of Ashford went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with his family by his side. He was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ricky Plummer and Dr. David Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, November 30, 2017. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Bethel Christian Academy.

Mr. Perry was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Second Chance Sunday School Class. He started working at Meadow Gold when milk was still being delivered to the homes. He later worked for Mrs. Stratton’s Salad as a route salesman. He was an avid deer hunter, and loved spending quality time with his grandsons fishing and hunting. His family was his main priority and he loved them dearly and loved spending time with them.

He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil James Perry and Mildred Brown Perry.

Survivors include his wife of over 51 years Janet Perry, children Tina Howell (John), Rusty Perry (Michelle), Deannette Boutwell (Eric), Denise Warg (Eric), sister Sue Waters, brothers Billy Perry (Debbie), Glen Perry, grandchildren Tyler (Sierra), Katelyn (Jordan), Payton, Mary Frances, Eli, Madison (Kyle), Matthew, Chloe, Caleb, Sara, Erica (Anthony), Jace, Christian,great-grandchildren Levi, Maddox, Sawyer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Second Chance Sunday School Class and Men of the Broadway Café Round Table, and Laura at the Broadway Café.

A special thank you to Covenant Care Hospice and special nurses Cynthia and Carla.
