Jane McKnight Benton

Jane McKnight Benton of Pinckard went to be with her Lord on April 18 at SAMC. She was 85 years old.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Sherman L. Benton, daughters Melony (Jim) Foster and Cheryl (Andy) Wood, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Shirley  (Bill) Burgess, 2 brothers Mickey (Debie) McKnight, Jimmy (Nelda) McKnight, grandchildren David Wood, Candice (Shane) Richburg, Aaron Padraic Goss, Sherman Wood, Jimmy (Emily) Foster, Joshua (Annika) Standifer, Laurel (Adam) Clark, great-grandchildren Hesten, Abby Jane and Eva Christine Richburg, Nolan and Jonah Wood, Solomon and Abigail Laurel Standifer, Kiely, Kolton, Nyla Wood, and  many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at Newton First Assembly of God, Saturday at 2 P.M. with visitation at 1 P.M. with Pastor Tommy Giddens officiating.
