John Gilmore Obituary

John Jasper Gilmore,83, passed away in Dothan on September 13, 2018. He was born to John Houston Gilmore and Emma Lucille Gilmore (Whittle) in Hartford, AL.

Graveside Service: 11 AM, Saturday, September 15,2018 at Memory Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Sheffield officiating.

John was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. John and Betty enjoyed traveling and eating out.

Preceded in death by his parents: loving wife: Betty Gilmore, son: William Gilmore, and two sisters: Sarah and Joyce Gilmore.

Survivors: Sons: Jon Gilmore (Dorinda), and Steven Gilmore; Daughter: Laura Gilmore. Brothers: Frank and Raymond Gilmore. Sisters: Jo Smith and Emily Wilkerson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
