Johnny Leonard Bright

Johnny Leonard Bright, age 67, of Birmingham, AL, went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Turnham Bright, and his loving sons, Allen Bright and Joseph Bright; also, a daughter-in-law, Patrice Howell Bright, and a grandson, Samuel Bright; also, a sister, Mignonette Bright Woodham (husband, Donald Woodham), and two brothers, Bobby Bright (wife, Lynn Bright) and Alvin Bright (wife, Becky Bright). He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, John Harvey Bright and Rosa German Bright, 10 siblings, and a granddaughter, Anna Elisabeth Bright. He loved his family, and he always tried to make sure that they were happy and cared for. He had an incredible sense of humor, never ceasing to make everyone laugh. He trusted the Lord as his Savior at 12 years old and rededicated his life to the Lord in the early 2000s. He was hard-working, dependable, and fun-loving. He will be greatly missed.
 
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ward-Wilson Funeral Home, 2414 Hartford Highway, Dothan, AL 36305. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Bright will be held immediately following the visitation at the funeral home at 2:00 PM, with his son, Bro. Joseph Bright, to officiate. Pallbearers will be Chad Bright, Neal Bright, Ricky Bright, Tim Bright, Charles Farmer, Gary Tew, Alex Woodham, and Mitchell Woodham. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, beside the funeral home.
