June Collins Obituary

June Pippin Collins of Rehobeth, AL, entered into God’s loving arms December 28th , 2018. She was 92 years young.

June was born Augusts 6th, 1926 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Arthur & Earlene Hadden Pippin and was married to the late Joseph Clarence Collins of Seminole County, Ga. She graduated from Dothan High School and was employed with Houston County Probate Office and retired after 36 ½ years of service to 2 Probate judges and has been a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church for over 70 years.

June is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe & Elaine Bowman Collins of Rehobeth. Elaine’s children William Keith (Charity) Sharp of Enterprise, Kevin (April) Sharp of Headland, Jason Sharp of Reno, Nevada, Amanda (Jon) Sharp Campbell of Florence, AL.

The family would like to recognize June’s loving caregiver, Lori Hazel and also the Angels of Kindred Hospice: Laura, Misty, Angela, Tiffany, April, Darlene and Pastor Eddie. Thank you all for making June your priority with the loving care you provided.

Pallbearers will be longtime friends Bobby Thomley, Scott Thomley, Mike Kelley, J P Kelley, James Harrell and Scott Cobb. June’s Sunday School Class at Rehobeth Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Funeral arrangements are Monday, December 31st, 2018 with visitation at 10 a.m. and the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at Rehobeth Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Hixson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rehobeth Community Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Support Group or the Parkinson Support Group.
