Lester Wilkerson Obituary

Lester Wilkerson, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Cottonwood, AL. He was born August 21, 1939 in Cedar Springs, GA.to the late Alvin Wilkerson and Emma Wilkerson ( Chandler).

Lester was a resident of Mulberry, FL.for many years who worked over 50 years in the Phosphate Industry in Polk County, FL. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. Lester was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending his days outdoors. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Graveside Service: 1: 00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery in Lithia, FL.

Besides his parents, Lester was preceded in death by a daughter: Karyn Houghton, brothers: Jr., and Gene Wilkerson; and sister: Dovie Teal.

Survivors: sons: David Wilkerson (GeDelle), and Daren Wilkerson; sisters; Martha Rodgers, Geraldine Hutto (Bruce); step-children: Christy New, Murray Rodriguez (Morgan),and Eusebio Rodriguez,Jr. (Alice) brothers: William Wilkerson (Eva), Larry Wilkerson (Brenda); granddaughters: Kaylee Houghton, and Emily Houghton, and several other step- grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other loving family members.
