Reverend Marrell Turvin

Reverend Marrell Turvin went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 15, 2018. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Franklin Wood and Reverend Hershell Lewis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Flowers will be accepted.

Reverend Turvin served as Pastor of three churches Bethlehem Assembly in Gordon, New Post Oak Assembly in Hartford and Love Hill Assembly in Ashford. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents Claude Turvin and Olene Galloway Turvin, 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Glenda Turvin, daughter Alicia Cooper (Craig), son, Jeffrey Turvin (Starla), sister, Claudean Pybus, brothers W.C. Turvin, Jerry Turvin, grandchildren Charae (Mitchell) Coe, Kyle (Traci) Kimble, Kayleigh (Chase) Crow, and great-grandchildren Libby, Dillan and Ethan Coe, and Hudson Kimble.

A special thanks to Covenant Hospice and the sitters Karla and Dioneille, and one special sitter Dawn Simmons for their care and support.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Kimble, Mitchell Coe, Chase Crow, Cecil Varnum, Sammy Roney and Danny Lewis.
