Roy Noel Brown

Roy Noel Brown, 57, Cottonwood, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in his sleep.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date.

Roy was born in Douglasville, Georgia on December 8th 1960 to Roy and Joyce Brown. He attended Lithia Springs High School in Lithia Springs, GA and Dothan High School and North View High School, in Dothan Alabama. He joined the Army National Guard in June 1980 where he obtained his GED. He was trained as a welder by the Army National Guard, after which he had a career in welding with Baxley Blowpipe for several years. His welding career furthered his knowledge which led to his career in HVAC with Ted’s Heating and Cooling for 10+ years. Roy started his own HVAC business, Browns Heating & Cooling in 1998. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, water sports, working on his lake cabin in his spare time and spending time with his family.

Roy is survived by his son Steven Michael Brown (Dothan, AL), Shelia Baxter-Tibbits (Dothan.AL) (mother of son), his mother Joyce Brown (Jacksonville. FL), his two sisters, Rhonda (Dan) Nilles (Hillsboro, ND), Deborah (Justin) Kubu (Chula Vista, CA), Nieces and Nephews Rhyen Dailey, Nichole Nilles, Michael Nilles, Andrew Nilles, Sarah Kubu and Jack Kubu. Grandchildren Cami, David and Kane Brown. Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Roy is preceded in death by his father Roy Neal Brown.
