Sally Elizabeth Miller

Sally Elizabeth Miller, 85, passed away on October 3, 2018 in a nursing home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her body was flown back to Dothan, Alabama for burial.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. **UPDATED 10/9/2018**  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 7:30 P.M. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. No services will be held on Wednesday due to inclement weather. 

Sally was born on April 26, 1933; the daughter of W.J. Hough and Katie (Rich) Hough.  She enjoyed reading, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama football. When she resided in Dothan, she attended Grandview Baptist Church.  She was employed at Southeast Alabama Medical Center for over 35 years as a Medical Transcriptionist.

Left to cherish Sally’s memories are Stephen Craig Miller, Sr (son) of Dothan, AL and his wife Gloria. Kimberly Miller Gibson, (daughter) of Virginia Beach, VA and her husband Ken. Two grandsons, Stephen Craig Miller, Jr of Dothan, AL and his wife Jennifer and Kaleb Zachary Gibson of Virginia Beach, VA. One granddaughter Desiree LaDawn Kelly and her husband John.
Four great grandchildren, Shane Miller, Gabriel and Kamerin Henderson and Jaxon Kelly. Two sisters, Dorothy Whitehurst and Betty Lane both of Dothan, AL. Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded by her parents and siblings: Roy Hough, Ralph Hough, Gladys Doyle, Mary Faist and Mildred Land.

Family will accept flowers or memorials can be made to Grandview Baptist Church in Sally’s honor.
