Susie Lee Blount

Mrs. Susie Lee Blount of Dothan passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at the age of 78.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Alabama Avenue Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, January 11, 2020, one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Blount was a member of Alabama Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Blount, great-granddaughter Gianna Foster, sister Ola Mae McCray, and mother Beatrice Wiggins.

Survivors includes daughters Susie J. Thomas (John) of Dothan, AL; Letrice C. Whaley (Timothy) of Dothan, AL; Phoencia A. Blount of Dothan, AL; sons Rev. Derrick D. Blount (Tonya) of Houston, TX; Marty M. Blount (Diane) of Tacoma, Washington; Rodney M. Blount of Dothan; sisters Mary Lewis (James) of Buffalo, N.Y.; Ruth Wiggins of Buffalo, N.Y.;  Truddie Louise Wiley (Joseph) of Buffalo, N.Y., grandchildren Roderick, Amber, Tonnisha, John, Marty Jr., Corey, Rashad, Fernandez, Maurice, D’Nara, Timothy Jr., Demetris, Gabriel, Sophia, Chloe, Dante, Tres’Chere, and great-grandchildren  Renae, Neveah, Isias, Cadance, Ashanti, Nigel and Jet.
