Vernell Royer Obituary
Mrs. Vernell Royer of Dothan passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018. She was 85.
Born June 28, 1933 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Sumpter Kelly and Annie Ethel Pennington Majors, Vernell was a member of Pathway Baptist Church. She worked for over 32 years for Lindsey Pawn and Loan. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Vernell was preceded in death by her sons, Douglas McCall and Edward McCall; her brother, Grady Majors; and her sister, Neeta Glover.
Vernell is survived by her husband, John Royer; her son, Jimmy McCall; her daughter-in-law, Kathy McCall; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Woody Farrington and Reverend Tommy White officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bonifay, FL with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Sunday prior to the service.
