George Wayne Carthon, Sr., 67, departed his life journey on April 19, 2019 in Graceville, FL. He was born on April 15, 1952 in Houston County to the late Walter Carthon, Sr. and Golder Carthon (Gosha). He attended Columbia High School. He joined the United States Army and served his country. He met and married his devoted wife Young Kim Carthon

Funeral Service 1 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation from 11 AM until service time.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Oneal Shorts.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife: Young Kim Carthon, daughters: Chermaine(Maurice) Gartmond, and Carolyn (Jahmarle) Greene, and a son: George Wayne Carthon, Jr.: brothers: Rubin (Barbara0 Carthon, Richard (Pamilla) Carthon, Walter (Ella) Carthon, Jr., Melvin (Joan) Carthon; sisters:

Ruth Smith, Carolyn (Rosco) Hicks, Lucy V. Williams, grandchildren: Tyler Carthon, Mackenzie Foster, Aeryn Gartmond, Ajani Greene, Khalif Greene, Ghamel Greene, and Amaura Greene, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
