William Bailey, Sr. Obituary
Mr. William Riley Bailey (Bill) Sr. of Dothan passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 78.
Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy, his son William R. Bailey, Jr. (Debi), Dothan; daughter, Christy (Phenix City), grandsons, William Riley Bailey III, (Dothan), Dustin Bailey, Dothan, 2 great twin granddaughters, Haley & McKenzie Bailey, Dothan, and many treasured nieces and nephews.
Bill was a member of the Class of 1958 Dothan High and served in the US Marine Corps. He was a records clerk at Ft. Rucker until beginning a career in aviation and operating his own business in cropdusting as Empire Aviation from 1979 until 1990.
Graveside services will be held at 1P.M. Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Memory Hill Cemetery with Father Gallagher officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 12:00 to 12:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to charity of choice in remembrance of Mr. Bailey, Bill’s favorite charities consisted of St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Wiregrass Humane Society.
