Willie Royce Jones

Willie Royce Jones of Dothan, previously of Webb, Alabama died at his home January 2, 2019. He was 75.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2019.

Willie was born June 17, 1943 in Houston County to James Cullen and Dorothy Jones. He was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He served his country from 1961 – 1965 in the United States Air Force. He was previously employed by Columbia Yeast and Wood Fruitticher. He loved Alabama Football and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Randall Jones, sister Wanda Fassett and brother-in-law Max Culbreth.

Survivors include his wife Peggy McLain Jones, sons Stephen (Wendy) Jones, Ashley (Traci) Jones, siblings Jimmie Lavoid (Janice) Jones, Maxine Culbreth, TeresaWood, grandchildren Landon (Ashlyn) Jones, Tyler Jones, Caleb Jones, Sophie Jones, Abbey-Leigh Jones, Alexis-Marie Jones, Kelsey (Clayton) Risner, Taylor (Chelsi) Holley, great-grandchildren Gunner Faison, Hunter Risner, and very special friend Joey Haddock.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the class of 1961 of Wicksburg High School
