Mr. Adger Delano McFaden, age 87, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Born August 9, 1937 in Molino, Florida to the late George Samuel McFaden and Bertha Virginia Willis McFaden, Adger enjoyed gardening and doing yard work and playing dominos in his spare time. He was a member of Covenant Methodist Church and loved spending time with family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte Ann McFaden; his infant daughter, Pamela Lorene McFaden; his sister, Evelyn Virginia Yon; and his brother, Willis Heyward McFaden.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela Chambliss (Mark), Jennifer Daugherty (Michael), and Sheila McCurley (Mike); his grandchildren, Allison Wilson, John Michael McCurley (Katie), Justin Smith, Joshua Daugherty, Jillian Daugherty, and Preston Daugherty; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024 from the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Kyle Gatlin and Chaplain Ernie Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024, prior to the service at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hays McKay Building Fund or Covenant Cancer Care Ministry at Covenant Methodist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Mike McCurley, Mark Chambliss, Michael Daugherty, John Michael McCurley, Joshua Daugherty, and Preston Daugherty. Honorary pallbearers will be the Covenant Romeos.
