Albert Elmore Obituary

Albert Coy Elmore, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday, October 11, 2025 at his residence. He was 72.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11 AM in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.

Mr. Elmore was born in Bonifay, Florida on September 21, 1953 to the late Thomas Jefferson and Sarah Nell Paul Stewart. He attended school in Vernon and later graduated from Walton County High School. Mr. Elmore was a truck driver having worked for Overnight Transportation for 34 years. He enjoyed Monday morning breakfast at Ray’s Restaurant with his retired truck driving buddies, fishing and spoiling his grandkids.

Mr. Elmore is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jamie Devon Elmore and his twin brother, Allen Roy Elmore and brother, Lloyd Elmore.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Elmore; son, Timothy Coy Elmore (Lisa); grandchildren, Tyler Elmore, Taylor Elmore, Allie Milanowski, Christopher Gilliam, Jamie Elmore, Brianna Peters and Austin Elmore Thrasher; siblings, Mike Lewis, Ricky Lewis (Denise), Vivian McDowell (Eddie), Vicky Taylor (Brian), David Elmore.
