Berlie West Cook

Mrs. Berlie West Cook of Taylor passed away peacefully with her family gathered by her side in Albany, Ga. on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the age of 96.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, October 9, 2023 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 9, 2023, one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Cook was born August 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Homer West and Angeline Godwin West. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a hard worker and a wonderful cook. She loved Word Search puzzles and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Tobe Cook, three sisters Mae Saliba, Syble Harrell, Della Mae Thompson, one brother B.T. West and a grandson Joseph William Fryer.

She is survived by her daughter Joan Cook of Albany, Ga; son George Cook (Donna) of Taylor, Al; grandchildren Ruth Kelly of Albany, Ga; William Fryer of Albany, Ga; George Matthew Cook (Ashley Gilmer Cook) of Taylor, Al; great-grandchildren Lane Cook, Brody Cook of Taylor, Al; and Amelia Kelly of Albany, Ga.
