Betty Sue (Riley) Brightwell

Betty Sue Brightwell, 83, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was born on November 9, 1935 in Dale County to the late John Riley and Jessie Riley (German).

Funeral Service will be 2 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service, burial to follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, whom loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a lady who delighted in helping people, especially as a volunteer at Chrysalis Home for Girls.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas C. Brightwell, children: Cindy Kirkland, Teddy L. Brightwell, and Michelle Quattlebaum.

Survivors include a son: John Brightwell (Caramon), son-in-law: Mike Quattlebaum, grandchildren: Chris Kirkland (Dana), Jamie Quattlebaum (Brandi), Courtney Redahan, Josh Quattlebaum, and Demi Brightwell, great-grandchildren: Brandon Quattlebaum, Brooklyn Redahan, Matthew and Jacob Phillips.
