Beverly Carol (Watkins) McJunkins

Mrs. Beverly Watkins McJunkins, of Slocomb, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019. She was 74.

Born February 18, 1945 in Dothan to Nadine Collins Watkins and the late Reginal Watkins, Beverly loved all things outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds and putting up vegetables. Taking care of others, including neighborhood animals, is one of many traits Beverly will be remembered for. She worked for Globe Motors for 32 years and was a member of Malvern Baptist Church for over 40 years where she worked in the nursery. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her father, Reginal Watkins, Beverly is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Watkins and her sister, Bobbie Howell.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald McJunkins; her son, Allen (Kathy) McJunkins; her daughter, Deborah Enfinger; her mother, Nadine Watkins; her grandchildren, Katelin (Chris) Reeves, Camille (JD) Williams, Megan Enfinger, Grey (Natalie) McJunkins, and Jake Enfinger; her brothers, Joel (Gloria) Watkins, Craig (Melinda) Watkins; her sister, Terry (Charles) McKissack; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from Malvern Baptist Church with Reverend Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 3 PM, prior to the service at Malvern Baptist Church. Malvern Baptist Church is located at 161 Church Street, Slocomb, AL  36375.
