Daniel Sandoval Correa Obituary

Daniel Sandoval Correa, of Slocomb AL, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at Southeast Health with his family by his side. He was 61. Born on May 13, 1964, in Zacatecas, Mexico. Daniel brought light and joy into the lives of all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jim Dane officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11AM -1PM in the chapel.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Sandoval and Maria Luisa Correa. He is survived by his wife, Maria Ramirez, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage filled with devotion and companionship. Together, they raised a beautiful family and are survived by their children Emma, Joseph, Edgar (Marissa), and Daniel (Irma). Four brothers, seven sisters and five treasured grandchildren.

Daniel made his mark on the community of Slocomb as the owner of Taqueria La Morenita store, where his work ethic and generous spirit were evident to every customer who walked through the doors. His colleagues and customers respected him not just as a businessman but as a friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

An extraordinary cook, Daniel found solace in the kitchen, where he created dishes filled with flavor and care for his loved ones. He found his greatest joy in sharing a meal and margarita with family and friends, Beyond his business achievements and culinary skills, Daniel was a man of warmth who valued the simple joys of life. A role model to many, he was regarded for his unwavering commitment to his family and dedication to everything he undertook.

Daniel Sandoval's presence will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created, the love he shared, and the values he instilled will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of hard work, the importance of family, and the enduring strength of love.
