Danny Lee Meadows (Bo)

Danny Lee Meadows (Bo), 66, a resident of Dothan, was welcomed into his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. He was born on July 31, 1954 in Houston County to the late Bobby Meadows and Carolyn (Womack) Meadows.

Funeral Services will take place at 2 PM, Friday, October 9, 2020 in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home from 6 PM – 8 PM.

Danny was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and brother-in-law.  Danny was employed by Southeast Gas of Dothan for 20 years. He gave of his time, money, and energy to anyone in need.  He loved children and was special in the life of all his family members. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews and all his countless friends who adored him and who will always remember his kind spirit.

In 2012 he survived a life-threatening accident; we were blessed to have him to love an additional eight years. Danny would proudly tell anyone who crossed his path that the good Lord allowed him to be a miracle. The family would like to express extreme gratitude to all the many medical personnel who responded at the time of his accident. We are grateful for the excellent medical care he received from Survival Flight, Southeast Health and UAB. A special note of gratitude to Dr. Frank Crocket who has cared for Danny many years. We are thankful to all the friends who have carried us through this difficult journey with the gifts of their prayers, calls, food, and love.

Survivors include his loving  wife of 40 years; Vicky(Linville) Meadows, daughter, Danielle Meadows (Chad) Butler, his precious grandchildren, Dalton, Raygan, and Amberle Butler, brother, David Meadows, sisters, Debbie (Robin) Roberts, Diane (Craig) Daughtry, and Donna (Kenny) Blankenship. Vickey’s siblings; Ralph (Sarah) Linville, Ricky Lineville, Randy (Tracy) Linville, Brenda Proctor, also Donald (Kathy) Schulman, and Lisa Kelly were true family to him.

Pallbearers will be Mead Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Crayton Daughtry, Chris Meadows, and Shane Schulman.

In Lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital of Birmingham, or a charity of your choice.
