David Allen Lewis

Mr. David Allen Lewis of Dothan passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 63.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. Saturday, prior to the service.

David was born August 11, 1959 to the late Chester Lewis and Mary Lucille Hannie Lewis Jackson.

He was a graduate of Dothan High School in 1978. He worked 25 years with the Dothan Police Department and the Dothan Police Auxiliary for 20 plus years. He also worked with the Houston County Sheriff Reserve.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Meggon Lewis, and sister-in-law Stephanie White.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Robin Lewis, son Andrew Lewis, grandson Jacob Lewis, brother-in-law Kevin Woodham, sisters-in-law Miriam Brookins, Olivia Jenkins (William), Michele Phillips, and several nieces and nephews.

The City of Dothan Police Department and Houston County Sheriff Department will serve as Honor Guard.
