Dianne Austin

Dianne Katherine Austin, a longtime resident of Cowarts, Alabama, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her home at the age of 69.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Dianne was born December 10, 1951, in Tampa, Florida. Dianne is the daughter of the late Louie Eugene Austin and the late Ada Mae Tillery.

Dianne was a blessing and a joy to her family her entire life. It was a privilege for her Mother and family to care for her everyday they had her. Dianne's favorite things were going out to eat, doing her homework, which she was dedicated and had been doing her homework for more than 60 years. Outside of her family her other greatest love was her dogs, who were her children.

Survivors include sisters, Frances Jones of Cowarts, AL; Patsy Austin of Ashford, AL; Connie Hendrickson of Cowarts, AL; Paulette Blue of Ashford, AL; Judy Ivey (Willie) of Thomasville, GA; brothers, Louie O’Neil Austin (Margaret) of Avon, AL; Bryan Tillery (Melissa) of Cowarts, AL; and countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, along with Aunts and numerous cousins.

Dianne is preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Jean Johnson, brothers-in-law, Robert Jones, Bob Hendrickson, J.J. Johnson, Claude Newman, nephew Ronnie Eugene Jones and nieces Paula Jean Hendrickson and Kelly Ann Johnson.
