Don Allen Shaw

Don Allen Shaw, 76, a resident of Daleville, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1945 in Hartford, AL., to the late Willie Carol Shaw and Vera Alice (Hulon) Shaw.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Newton First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home from 4PM – until 6 PM.

Don graduated from Ashford High School in 1963. He proudly served in The United States Army and retired after 26 faithful years. He earned a Bronze Star during his career. Don worked as an aircraft mechanic at Fort Rucker for 55 years and was a member of I.A.M. Local 2003.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sylvia Shaw.

Don is survived by his wife Sandie Shaw, children, David (Susan) Shaw, Kristin Spurlock, Scott (Jadie) Shaw, Michelle Lee, and Christopher (Marcel) Gagon, brothers, Ray Shaw, and Bennie Shaw, 15 grandchildren and a fur baby named “Lucy”.
