Donna Lynn Harrison Morrison, of Dothan, Alabama, formerly of Samson, passed away on May 1, 2026. Born on November 24, 1950, she was 75. Donna, known by many as “DeeDah” will be remembered by her vibrant personality, she loved to tease those she loved and to hear them laugh. She always had a “story” to tell, and something to give, usually a butterfly pin or something crimson tide related.
Known as the family historian, Donna took great pride in preserving memories and stories that connected generations. She had a deep love for thrifting, reading, collecting hats and butterflies, and cheering on Alabama Football with a heartfelt “Roll Tide.” These passions reflected her joyful spirit and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She was strong in faith and enjoyed her bible group. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Lennis Thomas Harrison and Ruby Hall Harrison, of Samson, Al. She is survived by her daughter, Danna Darby Jacobs and her husband, Mark, of Dothan; her son, Lennis D. Darby and his wife, Jacole, of Enterprise; her grandchildren, Jayde Jacobs Smith and her husband, Dillon, Ethan Jacobs, Storm Darby, Blayde Darby Walls, and Stone Darby; her great-grandchildren, Cooper and Madelyn Smith, Leviathan Darby, and Avilene Walls; her faithful dog, Lucille; her lifelong friends, Faye Carter Davis, Paula Keenan, and Jean Stoy; her special cousins, Sharon Price Thomas and Kim Price of Prattville; Barbara Yates Adams, And Judy Hall Bedsole of Samson, and several other cousins and friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and steady presence.
A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, Donna retired after 30 years of service, reflecting her caring nature and commitment to helping others. She was a member of Piney Grove Church in Rehobeth, where her faith remained an important part of her life.
