Donnie Edward Gibson

Mr. Donnie Edward Gibson of Taylor passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the age of 61.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2021 at Dothan Country Fellowship with Reverend Fred Bacher officiating.

The family will receive friends at Dothan Country Fellowship on January 7, 2021, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Gibson was born May 10, 1960 to Peggy and Edward (Hoot) Gibson in Dothan, Al.

He worked at Sony for many years before his retirement. He had a great love for sports, especially softball and Alabama Football. He was very active in coaching softball and football when his children were growing up. He had a great love for the Lord, hunting and fishing. He loved his family immensely. Donnie resided in Taylor, Al for most of his life, and attended Dothan Country Fellowship.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward Gibson and Peggy Taylor, grandparents Alfred and Vennie Gibson and grandparents Charlie and Cecil Robinette.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Gibson of Taylor; daughters Mandy Gibson (Sarah) of Dothan; Taylor North (Scott) of Dothan; Ariel Hall (CJ) of Waido, Fl; Brianna Carranza (Alex Sr.) of Taylor; sons Brad Gibson of Dothan; Wesley Letourneau of Taylor; Brandon Kent (Brianne) of Dothan; grandchildren Brinlee Letourneau, Aubree Letourneau, AJ Carranza, Rylee Hall, Jasmine Carranza, Jasper Hall, Bryson Kent, Brayden Kent, Brody Kent, Trey Fricke.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Letourneau, Alex Carranza, CJ Hall, Brad Gibson, Mandy Gibson, Brandon Kent and Drew Martin.
