Doris Barron Whitehead

Doris Barron Whitehead "Granny Da" of Dothan passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 92.

Doris was born on August 8, 1929 in Henry County, Alabama, to the late Sam Barron Sr. and Birdie Phillips Barron. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Whitehead; brother, Sam Barron Jr.; sister, Arlene Barron Thompson; son-in-law, Jim Nowell; and grandson, Mike Williams.

Survivors include, daughter, Onette Nowell; sons, Larry Nolan (Mary Jane) and Tommy Whitehead (Jennie); 4 grandchildren; and special friend, Sharon Cullifer.

The family would like to thank the staff at Westside Terrace for their compassion. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
