Dorothy Williams

Dorothy M. Williams, 86 born December 30, 1934 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Retired from California Pacific Bell in 1990, she then immediately moved to Dothan.  Once here she retired a second time from Big Lots and then became actively involved with the Houston County Library Book Club.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Brown and step-mother Lillie Mae Brown and son Daniel Michael Williams all of Dothan.

She leaves behind a legacy of survivors including three children, Deborah Thompson and her husband Samuel of North Las Vegas, NV, Dale Preston Williams and his wife Heansy Jeaneth Acuna of Maryland and Darwyn (Robert) Williams and his wife Mary of Dothan.  She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Dayspring Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10,2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral home with her son-in-law Rev. Samuel Thompson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
