Emma Lee Spivey

Mrs. Emma Lee Spivey of Dothan passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at the age of 79.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Redmond and Reverend Dwight Deal officiating. Burial will follow in Webb Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

Mrs. Spivey was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Webb, and later in life Berean Baptist Church. She retired from Twitchell of Dothan, and after retirement she spent her time enjoying activities and making new friends by volunteering at Rosehill Senior Citizen Center. She was once voted “Mrs. Senior Citiz4en of Dothan\Roseville Senior Center.” She spent a lot of time enjoying her grandchildren. They always looked forward to her homemade biscuits for breakfast.

Emma is preceded in death by her parents, Ellie Reeves and William H. Reeves; husband, Eugene Spivey; brothers, Doughty Waters and William Reeves; son, Lamar Kirkland; grand-son, Brandon Kirkland; and great-grand son, Loren Spivey.

Survivors include, daughter, Mary Katherine Traylor (Kenny); son, Bradley Kirkland (Natasha); sister, Mandy Martin (Irby); grandchildren, Brandy Cooper (Adam), Emily Johnson (Waylon), Josh Hargadon, Kelsey Traylor (Josh Burbank), Brittney Jordan (Michael), Eric Spivey (Jessica), Erica Averion(Carl), Samantha Hargadon, McKinsey Mulligan, Willow Moore, and Nikki Tillery; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Waylon Johnson, Josh Burbank, Michael Jordan, Adam Cooper, Eric Spivey, Josh Hargadon, and Nicholas Cooper.
