Fredrick Jackson Jones

Mr. Fredrick Jones of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the age of 79.

Fredrick was born to the late Aldon Zion Jones and Mary Lee (Whitaker) Jones in Malone, Florida on October 8, 1941.  He was a lifelong member of the Masonic Ashford Lodge #493 and a dedicated employee to Georgia Pacific for over 30 plus years. Fredrick was a lover of anything outdoors, including hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Jones; parents, Aldon and Mary Jones; and 8 siblings.

Survivors include his daughters, Cynthia Tolar and Wendy Talliaferro (Robert); son, Kevin Jones (Kimberly); sister, Shirley Jones; brother, Troy Jones; grandchildren, Logan Tolar, Samantha Tolar, Kassidy Little, Reilly Jones, Zachary Rockwell, Cameron Rockwell, Ashley Talliaferro, and Grayson Talliaferro; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brynlee, Remi, Ava, and Luke; and special friend, David Habbard.

Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Enon Church of Christ Cemetery at 11 A.M. with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive family, friends and guests at his residence, 5956 North County Road 75, Columbia, following the service.
