Gary A. Speigner

Gary Allen Speigner of Cottonwood passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the age of 77.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home for a visitation.

Gary was born in Dothan, AL on October 1, 1944, to the late Robert Edward Speigner and Polly Viola Hardy Speigner. Gary was 19 years old when he started working in construction. He spent over 50 years in the construction business, expanding his career to Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Gary enjoyed watching Fox News, Alabama Football, and spending time with his family.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Speigner and Polly Speigner; and wife, Norma Speigner.

Survivors include his daughters, Tonja Sawyer and Brandi Grantham (Jeff); son, Britt Speigner (Kelly); sister, Bobbie Whitehead; granddaughter, Makayla Sawyer; 8 additional grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and nephew, Matt Whitehead.
