George Marvin Jordan

Mr. George Marvin Jordan of Dothan passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 79.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Revered Greg Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with full military honors and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Jordan was born August 25, 1943 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Duncan Fletcher Jordan and Jessie Maude Jordan. He retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. He also retired from AMX Trucking. He loved to tell jokes, enjoyed fishing, camping and reading. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Margaret Kelly.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Carol Jordan, sons Robert Jordan (Lisa), Douglas Jordan (Kelly), daughter Sandra Malone (Chris Page), brother Clyde Jordan, grandchildren Patrick Jordan (Morgan), Ashley Jordan, Cassandra Jordan, Rebecca Brown (Tyler), Joshua Malone and great-grandson Blake Brown.
