Henry Donald "Donny" Spradlin

Mr. Henry Donald “Donny” Spradlin of Dothan passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 77.

The family will receive friends at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 5 to 7 P.M..

Funeral services will be held at Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton, Ga on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2 P.M. (EST). Burial will follow in Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton, Ga.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. (EST) Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Spradlin was born May 1, 1945 in Tift County, Ga to the late H.G. and Louise (Conner) Spradlin. He was a 1963 graduate of Irwin County High School in Ocilla, Ga.

He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967.

He transferred to Dothan in 1974 with Mrs. Kinser’s Salads and retired in 2013 as Regional Manager of Reser’s Fine Foods that bought out Mrs. Kinser’s.

Over the years, he enjoyed coaching softball, spending time with his daughter and their dogs, tinkering, traveling, camping, helping his neighbors and making people laugh.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nadine Goff Spradlin,  father and mother-in-law John Zerney and Vera (Parr) Goff, one sister Shirley Tawzer of Tifton, Ga, one sister-in-law Doris Goff Browning, brother-in-law Alfred Goff of Tifton, Ga, brother and sister-in-law J.T. and June Goff, and Jack Russell Terriers Sparky and Be-Bop.

He is survived by his daughter Danette Spradlin of Dothan, two sisters Elizabeth “Sis” Hardin of Tifton, Ga, Bonnie Hester of Lenox, Ga, one brother-in-law Glynn Tawzer of Tifton, Ga, “grand dog” Suzie and “Four Legged Son” Pickles, one uncle, four aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
