Ida Florence (Mock) Durden

Ida Florence Mock Durden, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her residence. She was 78.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2 PM until 4 PM in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Ida was born May 8, 1947 in Lantana, Palm Beach County, Florida to the late Raymond O. and R. Rosebud Gregory Mock and raised in Belle Glade, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents, middle sister, Mary Mock Jones and her husband Billy F. Jones; two special brothers in law, John Cochran and Edward Ostrowski.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Edward Durden; daughter, Tomma Durden Jones and her husband, Jamie; grandson, Blake Randall Webster; older sister, Margie Mock Cochran Ostrowski; sister by choice, Linda Motes Lee; family by choice, Randall and Joan Anderson; nephew, J. Michael Cochran, wife, Betty and his children, Tiffani Ealey, Lindsi Murphy, Taylor Cochran and Dakota Cochran; niece, Angela M. Cochran Rasor, husband, Jim Rasor and their children, Chris and Justin Rasor; niece, Jacqueline Jones Harris, husband, Wayne and family; special Durden families, Edwina and James Stokes, Sheila and Richard Williams; special friends, Ron and Tanya Churchwell and Louise Britto.
