Irby Gene Martin

Irby Gene Martin, 89, a resident of Pansey, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 28, 1933, in Houston County to the late Almer Martin and Mittie (Butler) Martin.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM, Friday until service time.

Irby enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Joe Martin, and William Henry Martin, son, Kevin Douglas Martin, daughter, Shirley Bonds.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Mandy Martin, children, Tony (Wendy) Martin, Rusty (Krys) Martin, and Donald (Catherine) Brownlee, daughter-in-law, Terrie Martin, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, and loving family and friends.
