Mr. James Wesley Morrison of Dothan, Alabama passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 in Kingsport, Tennessee at the age of 99.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, December 11, 2023 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Jones and Reverend Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International or Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mr. Morrison was born April 25, 1924 to the late Claude Morrison and Argie Clower Morrison. He graduated from Houston County High School in 1942. He was drafted in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theatre until 1946. He joined the Army Reserve and served till 1984. He joined Gideons International in 1987 and was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Jimmy Morrison, and wives Mary Morrison and Edna Morrison.

Survivors include his daughter Lynn Lee (Tim) of Kingsport, Tennessee, grandson Wesley Downing (Caryn) and Oliver of Jefferson City, Tennessee, step-grandchildren Mandy Lee (Tyler, Ella, Hudson), Ryan Lee (Hannah), and step-children Sherry DeBray (Jim), Carol Bledsole, Michael Farmer (Drew) and their families.
