James Franklin Strickland

 James Franklin Strickland, 78, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Dothan on April 10, 1944, to the late Joseph Strickland and Clara (Williams) Strickland.

 Graveside services will be held at 3 PM, Friday, September 9, 2022 at Dothan City Cemetery with Pastor Tim Skelton officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

James was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers. Hulon Strickland and Joseph Strickland, sister, Iris Saltz.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sandra (Finley) Strickland, children, Kimberly Williford and Terry (Amy) Strickland, brother, Morris Strickland, grandchildren, Justin Williford, Andrea Naper, Jonathan Newman and Stacey Hutcheson, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and loving family members and friends.
