Mrs. Janice Franks Moseley McCook, age 80, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Dothan, Al.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Chuck Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 to 10 A.M. Thursday, one hour prior to the service.

Janice was born to Walter Lewis Franks and Ophelia Moseley on September 12, 1938 in Goshen, Alabama. She was married to Edward Joseph McCook until his passing in 2002.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. McCook, son, William T. Black, and daughter-in-law, Shirley A. Black.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony Black (Reyna), Michael McCook (Monica), Joseph McCook (Nicole), grandchildren Rachel Povlacs (Larry), Michelle Simmons (Luke), Michael McCook (Stephanie), Natalie McLaughlin (Brian), Stephanie Black, Christopher Black (Alexis), Nicholas Black, Lora McCook, Bryan McCook, and several great-grandchildren.
