Jerad McNeil Obituary

Jerad Heath McNeil, 41, of Rehobeth, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born July 27, 1984, Jerad was a devoted husband, proud father, and a man known for his quick humor, big heart, and deep love for the outdoors. If you knew Jerad, you knew he cherished the simple things in life—time with family, a good hunt, a fishing pole in his hand, and stories shared with friends.

Jerad’s greatest joy in life was his family. His daughters, Adyson “AdyBug” and Amelia Rae, were the center of his world and the light of his life. He often reminded them he loved them “to the moon and back,” a love that will always surround them and guide them in the years ahead. Being their dad was the role he was most proud of.

A proud graduate of Rehobeth High School, Class of 2002, Jerad worked for Time Warner, now Spectrum, where he built many friendships over the years. When he wasn’t working, you could usually find him in the woods hunting deer, turkey, or geese, fishing whenever he could, or checking his trail cameras. He was also a loyal Alabama football fan whose “Roll Tide!” could be heard loud and proud every football season.

Jerad had a way of bringing laughter wherever he went. He loved joking around and playfully poking fun at the people he cared about, rarely taking life too seriously. Friends and family also knew his famous line, “I gotta go do laundry,” his lighthearted way of letting everyone know it might be time to head home or slip out early, always delivered with a grin.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert “Bo” Collins; grandmother, Gladys Hall Fordham; and cousin, Brian Dukes.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Odom McNeil; daughters, Adyson “AdyBug” McNeil and Amelia Rae McNeil; parents, Jonathan McNeil and Regina Collins McNeil; sister, Brandi McNeil Clark (Owen); nephews, Braxton Smith, Brayden Smith, Mason Clark, and Miles Clark; grandparents, Carl “Papa Carl” McNeil and Melba “Nanny” McNeil; father-in-law, Wallace Odom; mother-in-law, Jennifer Odom; sister-in-law, Lauren Odom Jackson (Joe); niece, Adalae Jackson; nephew, Beau Jackson; his loyal dog, Moose; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and other family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
