Johnnie Fay Folkes

Johnnie Fay Folkes of Cowarts, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at the age of 81.

Fay was born in Houston County, AL to the late Cairy Lester Folkes and Johnnie Annie Mae Folkes on February 4, 1940.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Theo Folkes; brother, Addeth Folkes; and great-niece, Meagan Elmore.

Survivors include sisters, Willie Nell Elmore and Carey Sue Folkes Kirkland; nephews, David Elmore (Sheryl), Daryl Kirkland, Christopher Folkes (Angie); niece, Elizabeth Joan Kirkland; great-nephew, Camren Kirkland; great-nieces, Kayla Chaney, Madison Folkes, Alex Folkes; and several other loving family members.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Cowarts Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Sorensen officiating. There will be no public visitation.
