Johnnie Wayne Owens, Jr.

Johnnie Wayne Owens, Jr., 48, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Wednesday, September 2,2020 at Southeast Hospital. He was born in Houston County on November 11,1971 to Johnnie Wayne Owens, Sr., and Peggy (Owens) Gilley.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 11 AM, Tuesday, September 8,2020 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with family receiving friends one hour prior to service.

Johnnie was a loving family man, who proudly served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, driving race cars, and taking visits to beaches. Johnnie was an avid swimmer, loved eating Blue Bell ice cream, and was an antique gun collector.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Wayne Owens, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Peggy (Owens) Gilley, sons, Jason Owens and Chris Fox, fiancé, Gina Grant, several cousins, many loving family members, and a host of friends.
