Joyce Taylor Visto

Mrs. Joyce Taylor Visto of Slocomb, Al passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the age of 80.

Joyce was known by many as a caring and loving woman, but most importantly she loved and was loved by her family. She was often the life of the party and the light of many peoples lives.  Joyce enjoyed music, singing karaoke, and playing games on regular family game nights.  She was also an avid reader, many times finishing multiple books in one day.

Joyce (Granny Goose), as many family members called her, received the nickname in her younger years by her daughter.  The nickname stuck and was passed down from generation to generation.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arliss Bell and Jesse Kathrine (Maxwell) Bell; husband, Ben Taylor; companion, Don Yon; brother, Kenneth Jones, and son, Greg Taylor.

Survivors include daughters, Suzy Taylor, Anita Copley, Tammy Smith, and Ruth Henning; sister, Shirley Jernigan; grandchildren, Ben, Elizabeth, Heath, Kera, Donny, and Crystal; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and very dear friends.
