Katie Nell Sanders

Katie Nell Sanders of Dothan passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age of 83.

A graveside service at Gardens of Memory will take place Monday, March 29, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. with a visitation held at Ward Wilson Funeral Home from  9 A.M. - 10 A.M.

Katie was born in Houston County on September 19, 1937 to the late Julius Jackson  Deese ("J.J.")  and Evea (Lockstead)  Deese.  She was known by many as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bobby Sanders, brothers, Marvin, J.R., Curtis, and Willie Deese.

Survivors include son, Wayne (Linda) Sanders of Dothan; grandchildren, Linda (Cory) Howard of Cottonwood, Terry (Kellie) Adkins of Dothan, Tawanna (Michael) Brumley of Dothan, Houston (Heather) Adkins of Dothan, and Tammy (Marty) McCalvin of Donaldson, Ga; great-grandchildren, Swaye, Marleigh, Courtney (Mark), Christopher (Kelly), Aidan, Kimberly, Alex (Shanna), Cody (Brittney); great great-grandchildren, Mason, Haliey, Emma, Able, Natiley, Rosealee, Cody Allen Jr.
