LaVerne Campbell

Mrs. LaVerne Campbell, age 77 of Ashford passed away on September 12, 2022 in Southeast Hospital.

LaVerne was born on May 16, 1945 to Stanford and Carrie Branham of Palaka, FL. LaVerne was married to the love of her life JC for 58 years, together they had two children, Laura and Jason Campbell, and two grandchildren, Madison Walden and Colton Campbell.

LaVerne was a nurse until she had to retire due to medical issues. LaVerne was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her children Laura Campbell and Jason Campbell, her parents Stanford “Zeke” Branham and Carrie D. Branham, and sister Imogene Coon.

LaVerne is survived by her husband JC Campbell, daughter-in-law Amy Campbell, grandchildren Madison Walden (McKenzie), Colton Campbell, two brothers Willard Branham, Harold Branham (Betty), sister Loretha Anderson (Dane), several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Grimes and Durant Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday, September 15, 2022, one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be McKenzie Walden, Durant Beasley, Devan Lewis, Clint Smith, Joe Phillips, and Ed Kilpatrick
