Ladd Clark, Jr. Obituary

Ladd M. Clark, Jr., 86 a resident of Ozark, passed away on Wednesday, 6 January 2021 at his residence. He was born 22 August 1934 at 1100 hours in Mt. Enterprise, Texas. His mother was Dorothy Elizabeth (Langford) Clark, born in December 1908 at Nacogdoches, Texas. His father was Ladd M. Clark, Sr., born March 1897 in Garrett, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, 09 January 2021 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Ozark, AL., burial to follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time at the church.

Ladd attended school in Troup, Texas graduating from Troup High School May 1953. He went on to attend college at Tyler Junior College, Stephen F. Austin State University and Troy University.

Ladd was drafted into the US Army 19 June 1957, then he enlisted in US Army 27 September 1961, Ladd served in the Vietnam War, he also served in Ft. Riley, Kansas, Mainz Germany, Stuttgart Germany, Fulda Germany Worms Germany, Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri, Camp Humphries, Korea, Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Ft. Lewis, Washington, Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Ladd retired after 32 years of service as a Sergeant Major 30 November 1988.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Hannelore (Zmuda) Clark, daughters, Jeanette Clark, and Ashton (Adam) Hardcastle, son, James (Tina) Clark, grandchildren, Greg (Hope) Sullivan, Savannah Clark, great-grandchildren, Raiden Hardcastle, and Evelyn Hardcastle.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans in his name.
